These coffee tables
were inspired by the most unusual of wood grains. The sugar
maple occasionally exhibits the birdseye grain but this form
of blistering is much more rare. As well, this is an outstanding
example of the beauty so often hidden. The surface of the log
underneath the bark has a blistered look but from the outer
bark there is little if any sign of the interesting figure
of the wood.
The darker legs of either walnut or cherry add a pleasing
contrast and bring out the grain of the top.
These one of a kind tables are priced about $800 depending
on type of wood and size.
