This desk was a wonderful instance of serendipity. The grain of the Black Walnut boards seemed perfectly suited to the design I had in mind. The center drawer seemed to flow into the top pieces. The highly figured Blistered maple on the side drawers is a striking accent in colour and grain pattern. Drawer pulls are hand carved.
